Cool playgrounds in Israel by A.B.A. Science Play
Are you bringing your kids on your trip to Israel? If yes, you will want to visit Israel’s coolest playgrounds. Anyone who has ever visited a playground can tell you how much fun they provide for children of all ages, even you! Some of them are the traditional playgrounds while others are science-oriented.
Yossi De Levie had a vision for making playgrounds fun, interactive, even educational. With his innovative designs, SciencePlay interactive high-tech playgrounds were born, bringing science and, most importantly fun!
Try out the Cockpit to learn about helicopter design, or create centrifugal force on a Spinning Universe. Want to learn more about the physics of triangles? Walk a Pythagoras Treadmill.
Manufactured in Ashkelon, each playground piece includes an audio narration about what you’re experiencing. It’s all powered by self-generated solar, wind and kinetic electricity.
Two great places to experience these educational designs are at two Israeli science museums, Technoda in Hadera ( Harav Nisim 2, Givat Olga, Hadera 38110 | Phone: 04-633-3505) and MadaTech in the Hadar Hacarmel neighborhood, Haifa (25 Shmaryahu Levin Street | Phone: 04-861-4444).
Another wonderful playground is the Clore Garden of Science at the Weitzmann Institute, just south of Tel Aviv in Rehovot. Kids through adults are fascinated by this outdoor science and nature hands-on experience. (234 Herzl Street, Rehovot, Israel | Phone: +972 8-934-4401)

When you are in Jerusalem, children often enjoy the Liberty Bell Park near the Inbal hotel ( containing a replica of the Liberty Bell from which it gets its name).

Also in Jerusalem on the corner of Tahone and Chile St. in Kiryat Hayovel, Jerusalem, is a park with a monster slide that young children adore.

The Mifletzet/Monster Slide is in Rabinovich Park in Jerusalem.
