The Darna is an excellent Moroccan restaurant. Housed in a 200-year-old building with arched stone ceilings, it is authentically old Jerusalem. Highly recommended is the Targine. It is the name of a Moroccan serving dish as well as the stew that is served therein. The cover of the dish looks like a pyramid, Moroccan style. The stew, (usually lamb) is cooked over a low flame and served as such on the table for a family or group. The decor is authentic old Morocco and staff is young Israeli Moroccan. The dishes are absolutely delicious, unique and served with elegance.
Israel Celebration Tours will arrange for our groups a special explanation of Moroccan Jewish culture and a special performance of a “belly dancer” for our guests. Not to be missed! It’s also a great place for a bar/bat mitzvah party. Or for just a couple. Yummy!
